Having a crush is a sort of fantasy feeling. In teenagers it can become a fixation bordering on an obsession, sometimes leading to unfortunate consequences. Unscrupulous celebrities – usually pop singers and sportsmen – sometimes exploit the crush that these young girls have on them to provide themselves with sexual favors.
But, in general, crushes are harmless and just provide most of us with the opportunity for a little wishful thinking.
