There are a number of criteria which can be applied to judge if a person is really a fake. Firstly, fake people seem to have a perpetual smile. They even smile in circumstances where smiling is highly inappropriate.
Secondly, they excel in backhanded compliments, such as: “I love your apartment! It’s so small and cute!” They also tend to be very passive-aggressive. And they gossip constantly about the problems and behaviour – real or imagined – of other people.
Finally, they have the uncanny ability to make you feel like a total loser; basically, they can make you feel like crap!
