William Henry “Bill” Cosby, Jr. was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 12, 1937.
During a long and — until recently — illustrious career, Cosby has tried his hand at being a comedian, actor, author, television producer, educator, musician and activist.
Bill Cosby first made a name for himself starring in a popular TV show on the 1960’s called “I Spy”.
Later, in the 1980’s, he produced and starred in his own sitcom, “The Bill Cosby Show,” which highlighted the experiences and growth of an affluent African-American family. The show aired for eight seasons from 1984 to 1992 and was the number one show in America for five straight years (1985–89).
It’s popularity was largely a reflection of Cosby’s character as the father of a “happy” family.
Unfortunately, it seems that the public perception of Bill Cosby has probably been changed for ever following an apparently never ending series of recent accusations from a variety of women claiming that Cosby was a sexual predator in the years of his success.
The accusations include rape and a number of sexual acts initiated by Cosby usually involving drugs or alcohol. Cosby has either denied the accusations or refused to comment on them.
Under the circumstances, LifeDaily set the team on looking up some of Bill Cosby’s comments about marriage and women.
