Angelina Jolie, was born Angelina Jolie Voight in Los Angeles in 1975 (Yes, she IS the daughter of well known film actor Jon Voight).
Angelina decided to follow in her father’s footsteps and became an actress and then a director. She was recently quoted as saying that she had always hated acting and didn’t intend to continue in that profession, preferring instead to be involved in film making from behind the camera.
Nevertheless, in her career she has received one Academy Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards, and was named Hollywood’s highest-paid actress by Forbes in 2009.
Apart from her work in the movie industry Angelina also does a lot of work with refugees as a Special Envoy and former Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
So it is somewhat surprising that a recently leaked email from producer Scott Rudin to Sony Pictures characterized Angelina as a “minimally talented spoiled brat.”
