‘The cutest dog in the world’ is how most owners would describe their pet pooch. But, maybe, their opinion is a little biased?
How do you measure ‘cuteness’? We couldn’t find such a thing as a ‘cuteness index’ but there do seem to be some common factors in the general belief of what is cute.
Firstly, ‘size matters’, but, in this case smaller is better. Almost all the dogs that feature in the various websites that claim to show ‘the cutest dog in the world’ are from smaller breeds. Also, hair is important; bald dogs seem to lack the ‘cuddly quality’ that is essential for cuteness.
For the purpose of trying to find the cutest dog, we must, regretfully, eliminate puppies. ALL puppies are cute, but it’s just that many lose the cuteness factor as they grow!
